The word Deacon derives from the Greek word Daikonos meaning service or servant.

 

The Deacons are charged with the spiritual needs of our church family and provide service by working closely with our ministers.

 

We prepare the sanctuary for worship, assist in preparing communion, baptisms, provide care through visitations for our home bound church members, and reach out to our neighbors in need.

 

Through this service we are able to live into the love and compassion that God calls each of us to as followers of Jesus Christ.
